“Our Benedictine Heritage, Our Kind of Leadership”. This was the theme of the Association of Benedictine Schools (ABS) Students’ Congress held in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. last August 17-20, 2015 at the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (CICM) The Congress was attended by students and faculty members from different Benedictine Schools around the country namely HFA, SAA, SSA San Fernando, SSC Manila, SSC Westgrove, SSA Marikina and SSA Bacolod. Holy Family Academy sent participants consisting of the Junior Assembly officers, Club and Grade Level Representatives and Administrator and Faculty representatives namely Mrs. Maria Lucia S. Facundo Second Lay Principal, Mrs. Jannett M. Tarenio Student Activities Coordinator, Mr. Santillian JA Moderator. The ABS Students’ Congress is an event wherein all the Benedictine schools gather together for leadership training. It is being held once every two years. The objectives of the congress are to enrich the Benedictine culture and to enhance the leadership skills of chosen students through talks about Benedictine leadership. The said event was filled with fun activities like tree planting, seminars, workshops, song compositions and The Amazing Race which promoted teamwork among the participants because they had to work with other students from the different ABS schools. The participating schools also performed their cultural presentations in “ABS Got Talent”.
