SCIP

RATIONALE:

In the face of the country’s present situation and in response to the needs of the Filipino people, especially the poor, HFA re-affirms its commitment to be Christ-centered, agents of change, and stewards of creation.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF SCIP

Offer opportunities for the members of the school community to open their eyes, ears, minds, and hearts to the present social realities in order to effect positive change in their attitudes and values towards solidarity and lead them to involvement and commitment to work with the marginalized sectors of our society.

Assist the people’s organization in the partner communities in the planning and implementation of various projects that will help in their development (Total Human Development).

Link and establish partnership with the government and non-government organization that are involved in community development and environmental protection and conservation.

Arrive at possibilities for concrete action that will hasten the liberation of the poor, the deprived, and the oppressed and promote their human development.

THE OUTREACH/APOSTOLATE ACTIVITIES

The administration, faculty, non-teaching personnel, PTA, students, and all members of the HFA community, are given opportunities to experience and concretize the school’s Philosophy, Vision, and Mission.

Inspired by the school’s motto “Ora et Labora” (Pray and Work) the members of the community take full responsibility as they touch lives and hearts in their own sincere, simple, and genuine ways doing volunteer work.
